FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I try to sign-in on-line on a daily basis. The Internet is a great learning tool -- these kids have it so great in this day and age! I am a product of the old-school "theatre of the mind" conventional learning process. My last continuing education project was completed nine years ago with the completion of a course in legal proofreading in New York City in October 2005. I now find cloud computing an interesting topic.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was influenced to become an editor because I have always had a love of spelling and language from the time I learned to read a newspaper and progressively, books from kindergarten years on (courtesy of my mother's teachings). I worked on my high school newspaper too. I developed a love of journalism by the end of high school and chose to study communications in college as a result.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have edited books for friends, tutored back in college for students who wanted an edge and understand what their respective subject matter was. I now proofread whenever and wherever possible, and seek to obtain full-time work as an editor or quality assurance manager in the Washington DC region.
