I contacted Carmen on the Tuesday before my daughter's wedding on that coming Saturday. Not only did she show up with the agreed upon 2 staff members, but she came too making 3 ! They just sort of knew what to do and took the initiative to complete the drink station setup and pre-burning candles and all sorts of things you don't think of! Also, after dinner was over they cleaned up the buffet . Our guest wAnted for nothing! Thank you Carmen, Shelton and Alan!

Carmen was very easy to work with, and figured out exactly what my daughter and son-in-law wanted for their wedding reception. She fed 200 people with delicious pulled pork, chicken, mac n cheese, and lots of other fixins! Additionally, she was able to supply certified bartenders, and the ladies who helped her were so nice and accommodating! AND, it was on the Friday of Hurricane Florence!! I can't say enough nice things about Carmen....5 stars, excellent food, service, and reasonably priced. Thank you!

Carmen was amazing from beginning to end. She helped me plan a great menu and her staff came in the day of the event ready to work. She told me what I needed to rent and exactly how much alcohol to purchase. She saved us a ton of money. Even with problems with equipment delivery that slowed them down, they were ready to go once guests began to arrive. The displays were gorgeous and were the first things people commented on once entering the space. Her staff was very friendly to our guests and made sure everyone was taken care of. They even offered to fix me a plate since I was running around making sure everything was going smoothly. I highly recommend An Affair to Remember and will use them again in the future. Thanks again!

Fantastic! We had a small, casual wedding for about 45 guests and Carmen and her team did an excellent job. We were a bit untraditional having a cocktail hour prior to the ceremony and then a buffet dinner reception, however with this itinerary, my husband and I were able to enjoy the tasty appetizers with our guests and everyone could relax before the vows. The buffalo chicken pastry puffs were amazing! Carmen had a great team who she managed very well to ensure everything was ready exactly when it should be. The ladies on her team were so friendly and outgoing who kept things moving and food flowing constantly. If you are looking for good food, great service, value, and a relaxed (not uptight) team that will have fun with your guests then Carmen is your person.

From start to finish, Carmen and team were dedicated to my wedding. They were able to take several random photos of what I envisioned and not only did they deliver but exceeded my expectations. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are determined on a client by client basis. It depends on how much and how many services I provide.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My initial contact with a client is usually by text or email. Then we schedule a call when we can talk without distractions. We set-up the first of many meetings about food, decor and/or floral. I have clients that I meet with 10 or 15 times and some that I meet for the first time on the wedding day!! It's just about what the bride, groom or couple wants.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend all the bridal shows I can and read all the latest magazines. There is a trade show (food and wine) that I attend almost every year. I am Safe-Serv certified and myself and bartenders are certified as well. I have 45 years experience in the kitchen and actually made my first biscuits from scratch in my great-grandmother's kitchen at the age of 4!!! I don't just make "fancy" food, I make great food!
