FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was 12 years old, I got my first real job. It was as a janitor. It was working in a drugstore and the managers' expectation was so strict to the point of sterilizing everything I cleaned! It was hard work to try and please a perfectionist and there were times I wanted to quit but my dad gave me some great advice. He said: "if you're going to be a janitor, be the best janitor there is!" That advice has stuck with me all these years and is why my business name reflects that value: "Brevards Best!"
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most common in my line of work are carpet cleaning jobs that follow those who have had their carpets "steam cleaned" and the results are less that expected. The carpets looked good when the service provider left, but when they dried completely, they looked as though they hadn't been done. Also, those who have tried to detail their own cars and see one that I or another professional have done. The difference is staggering! They see a marked difference in the quality, depth and clarity of shine, and how long the look lasts. There also are differences in the smaller details that become obvious when faced with a professional detail!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are a lot of claims being made about carpet cleaning out there. The best price is usually paid for by poor results. Professionals guarantee their work and can provide references. Beware of any carpet cleaner who is in and out of your house in an hour! There are also "add-ons" that some carpet cleaners try to charge more than the original quote for. A thoroughly cleaned carpet shouldn't need any more "protection" than the carpet already has if it is cleaned properly. Ask Questions!
