- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge by the hour! 2 hour minimum and after that we charge every 15 minutes. We offer 2 types of protection: Basic Value Protection: this is free and its 60 cents per pound if anything breaks. Full Value Protection: minimum is $5,000 of coverage, this will cost $37.50 extra. $10,000 is $65.00. We can go up pretty high with ours. $5,000 worth of damage typically is A LOT of damage. It sometimes can also be just the amount for the TV. Another thing to remember about that TV, even if it is a couple hundred dollars, they typically do not weigh too much. Would you rather have $30 for your tv, if broken, or the amount the TV is worth at that time (not what you paid for it)?
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Spend a couple minutes on the phone talking about what type of service they need. Then I usually tell my prices and if they would like to continue, we go in to more details about their move.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have moved people from single bedroom apartments, to elderly going into a nursing home. I have moved an apartment in project housing to million dollar homes in The Cliffs. I have been doing this for about 8 years. I have probably personally moved over 2,000 different people in Asheville and surrounding area.
