Please pick your recording studio by the work they have done. After all it is about the music and the sound that your music will have. You can tell a lot by the sounds that the engineer gets from the start. At Lumen Audio, we get sounds from the instrument and tuning. Then it's the mic, and then the pre. With the exception of EQing out the real low end, most of our mixes are not EQed, so what you hear is the real sound of the instrument. We like to get the sounds right, and we don't like to cut corners when it comes to getting the sounds you want.
