Hi, I'm a native Russian speaker and a language professor at College. I am ACTFL Certified Full Scale OPI Russian Tester. My team and I focus on quality TEACHING REMOTELY on a 1 on 1 basis (via Zoom) and making your learning experience the best to improve your language skills and any other specific need you may have.
My team and I combined have 33 years of experience teaching university students, military personnel, and educating government employees, including American diplomats. We prepare our students for OPI, ILR and DLPT language tests to fulfil their professional requirements.
I've been teaching Russian since 2000 and I love what I do. My team and I are all native Russian speakers, highly trained and passionate about teaching not only Russian language and culture, but also cultures of all the countries where Russian is used as a lingua franca.

I worked with Marina Romanova, and it was a pleasant experience. She responded to my questions, communicated well, and sent my translated document by email. She signed the translation, included her contact information and date, but did not add a stamp. I am not sure if a stamp is required or if the signature alone is considered a proper certification, but overall, she did her job well and was helpful.

I had studied Russian for over a decade before working with Dr. Romanoff. She is the most diligent and professional teacher I have studied with and it showed when I achieved my highest score on Russian exams. She was able to correct my grammar (which I’ve always struggled with) and help me to communicate higher level topics as well as conversational use. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have been teaching Russian language and culture to professionals for over twenty years, and that's why my students trust me. If pricing is your only factor, my team or I may not be your best choice for your language coach. However, if what matters to you is to SPEAK and get results, then we can be an excellent match.
I teach one-on-one courses. I work with you to discover the most productive and enjoyable way to study for you and customize each course to your learning style and goals. I give my heart and soul to every lesson and the preparation that precedes it. I listen to you and what you need in every course, and work with you to find the most efficient way of learning depending on your preferences, personal and professional interest.
I offer 10, 20 and 40 lesson packages. My lessons start at $45 (the most popular package of lessons) compared to a regular lesson that is $65. The Intensive Special is a 40 lesson package that runs for 10 weeks and with the special fee goes down from $65 to $45 (per 45-minute lesson). The intensive is intended to boost your Russian and classes are twice a week in double sessions.
Each single session is 45 minutes long and double sessions are 1 hour and 30 minutes long. In the double sessions we have time to practice all 3 language skills: speaking, listening/understanding, reading.
The Intensive Special is an intensive 10-week package organized in sessions of 1 hour and 30 minutes meeting twice a week. Take advantage of this special for a very reduced fee!! Save 25% on each lesson!
I also offer other less intensive options. For instance, if you can only meet once a week, we can have double sessions with a lot of practice once a week, and extra homework with 100% hands on approach so that you are ready to rock in the next session!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in Russian Linguistics and Culture and PhD in Russian Studies. I have been teaching at the university level for over 15 years and teaching professionals - military and government personnel - for more than 12 years.
My team is also highly trained, and all of us are Russian native speakers. We all also hold a Master Degree in Russian and some of us a PhD as well.
