Born in DC and raised in Prince Georges County, MD, Aaron "Amil" Barnes is a independent music video, commercial, and film director. A modern-day artist that is known for applying guerilla-style and unusual, non-traditional shooting methods, Amil has a detailed eye in his film work. While being a young visionary in film in the DC area, Amil has also done film work for artists: Ludacris, 2 Chainz, Fantasia, DJ Quicksilva, Meek Mills and more. Amil has also produced corporate work for Chrysler, Ciroc, Jeep, Vh1, Smirnoff, and more.
In 2010, Amil started his own media and production company THE CABINET with his friend and business partner, Kevin Ransom. The company's goal is to provide entertaining and relatable contact to the masses while pushing the creative boundaries with each and every project. Amil is currently in the process of shooting and producing his first film.
Amil is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Uptown Charlotte.
