Introduction: I only take one pet at a time no matter if it is three days or a month, Previous pets get first choice on dates if two clients want the same weekend, etc. I really spend time with that pet and try to bond with them , I know they may whine or even cry some but no pet as ever cried through the night, They all have settled down. I must have vet number and emergency numbers and a signed release giving me the right to make a decision while trying to reach owners Your pet will not be unhappy if I can figure anything out to help it. I will need a detailed list of likes and dislikes. I am mostly home except for church. Most of my clients now are repeat customers. I have made friends with the owners of the pets. I enjoy helping them make plans they they couldn't go to, whether a day trip to the mountains or a day of shopping, or an extended cruise. I love all breeds but am partial to Labs, German Shepherds,beagles as well as "lap dogs! I take care of a very beautiful and smart golden Retriever. Guess I'm just a dog lover!. My ex would 'nt allow me to have a pet,,,,as soon as he drove down the road I took the kids to the vet and asked for "three puppies" please!

Usually a much loved indoor pet that is coddled and cuddled. Often they adapt well and love to play outside. Sometimes it's an older dog or even a sick dog and can't tolerate a lot of rough play.Or need special attention Once we have a successful visit the owners are very relaxed and trust me, and will often take short trips to the beach or mountains .
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you make a file and and have copies of recent info such as medicines, shots and flea treatment.Call your vet if you are taking as long as a week trip, or quite a distance , requiring a flight or a lot of driving, and tell them who will be in charge just in case. Call the references as your pet can't tell you if they are happy. It's nice when the pet is bathed before you bring them. Bathing upsets them when in a strange environment. I will brush them and brush their teeth, if they like it.
