MISSBEHAVIN K9S offers a progressive well-balanced dog training program geared to enhance your relationship with your prized possession so you can enjoy a well-behaved dog who fits into your lifestyle every day. My goal is to build a sound relationship between you and your dog(s) by showing you how to meet your dog(s) halfway in a way that they can understand. I teach canine manners and behavior. This training is geared not only for your dog(s) but also you, the owner, to enhance the relationship you have with your dog(s). How? I offer private training at your home for quick results. Why choose me? Because you want to succeed and I'm right there with you coaching and cheering you on. I will be your biggest supporter when working with you and your dog(s) and will continue your efforts going forward. I am a certified hands-on, not online trainer (HUGE difference). I am a professional living a passion and dream of mine. I take my career very seriously and strive to give each client my best with my educated knowledge and experience in canine behavior and manners. Shawn did a great job training us!! LoL... really Shawn knows her stuff. We just added a puppy to our family and Shawn came out to help with our older golden retriever Molly and the puppy Mabel. We needed to be retrained on how to walk Molly so she doesn't pull or get aggressive when other dogs pass us. This was especially important because we didn't want the puppy to pick up these bad habits. We didn't do a lot of training with the puppy as she is very timid. We discussed how to socialize Mabel more so she doesn't freak every time she sees a person. It was a great session and we got a lot of great tips! If we ever need training again we'll definitely call Shawn!

My husband & I had Shawn out because we had just gotten a third dog to add to our pack. Although we are seasoned dog owners it had been awhile since we had to do any training. Adding another dog changed the dynamics of our situation & we wanted to help the new dog assimilate into the household smoothly. Shawn helped us address our issues with the new dog as well as helpful tips to be sure the established dogs were happy also. We needed to be reminded how to assert our Alpha role & how to be consistent & follow through. She even came out a second time & consulted with us via phone & email when we needed. She was informative, friendly & fun to work with!

I was very please with Shawn. I was at first dubious that much could be accomplished in one session, but was pleasantly surprised. I told Shawn that I was most interested in having my five month old puppy stop barking at anything that moved outside. She explained why Maggie was behaving that way, and showed me how to help her. I am amazed that I already see a 90% improvement! I liked the fact that she paid attention to my needs, and dealt with what was important to my situation. Shawn is a lovely person, and seems very knowledgeable.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$225 for a One and Done (90 minute session) $450-$550 for Basic Obedience (Depends on how many sessions) $550-$650 for Behavior Modification (Depends on how many sessions) $400 for Puppy Bootcamp (2 sessions) All sessions done in your home - I travel to you If you don't see a program that works for you, we can always customize one that will meet your needs
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Love to hear from my potential customers. The more information regarding their dog and their situation is great. It helps in making a decision on what their needs are and how I can assist them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified/hands-on dog trainer. I am also registered with the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT).
