Brooks came highly recommended to us by a Customer Home Builder for our remodeling job & after watching him put in 16 hour days to accomodate our schedule, it's easy to understand why. He & his workers give new meaning to the term "Pitt Crew". Our project had a very tight 1 week schedule: our rental home lease was ending and the Movers would be delivering all our furniture to our "new" house in 7 days. Not only did Brooks have to demo the old flooring, and install & finish the new flooring, but he also had to literally work around the Contractors & their schedule who were tearing down a load bearing wall in the middle of the 1st floor and patching ceilings and walls. After Brooks agreed to the schedule, I was shocked (~pleasantly) by his price quote. Not only was I between a rock and hard place to get this all done in 7 days, but his proposal didnt include a "Homeowner who was out of time and options" tax - which is a common business practice where we come from in NYC. Everything was going smoothly & he and his crew were extremely professional and courteous ~ until the 3rd day ~ when I told him I had reconsidered his recommendation & now I wanted him to install the wooden heat register grates in the floor. He smiled and told me this would add a day to an already tight schedule, but he would get it done - amd he was still smiling and calm as he said it. That was reassuring, because I had no idea how much effort this would take. So the sanding came to an abrupt stop while the crew jumped on cutting and routing the openings for the flush wooden grates - that's a lot of cutting and fitting, let alone when you have a tight schedule. Now we, err, He barely had 3 days left to finish sanding, staining and putting down base/top coats of urethane. That's when his 16 hour work days started and they wouldnt end until well after midnight of the 7th day(I went home to bed at 11PM and left him and his crew there). I came back the next morning and everything was done - including the 4 ft spindle back chair I asked him to refinish & restore "since he had the stain and urethane out & he might as well use it.". It was like the Floor Fairy had magically waved his magic wand and Poof! The old crappy flooring was gone and replaced with brand new, brown stained flooring everywhere! The final coat of urethane had dried long before the moving truck showed up that afternoon - and if you didnt know what it had looked like just 24 hours before you would have never known the House had a received a major make over in record time - which usually only happens on TV Reality shows. But you can get the same results right here in Cary with Brooks Pittman and his "Pitt Crew", although I wouldnt recommend strapping yourself with my project's schedule - My Guardian Angels must be work-aholics with tattered wings...(~knock on wood). p.s. I'm not related to Brooks, I just believe in giving people credit when it's earned and deserved. He's one of the good guys out there who's earned my endorsement.

Brooks was wonderful to work with in installing our custom quartered and rift white oak flooring. He was knowledgeable about the flooring, prompt, and always had a great attitude. We were thrilled with the work that he performed throughout our downstairs and are now having him install our upstairs hardwood floors.
