About
Tech Connect LLC has been making technology simple for homes and businesses since 2016. We're a six-person team based in Clayton, NC. We work onsite across the Triangle — Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Smithfield and the towns around them — and support customers remotely statewide, including the Charlotte metro.
What we handle: computer repair, virus and malware removal, data recovery, and system optimization; network setup and Wi-Fi troubleshooting; TV mounting, TV repair, and home theater installation; and phone, tablet, and printer repair.
A lot of problems never need an onsite visit. Our remote support is usually faster and cheaper — we can often diagnose a slow machine, clear an infection, or sort out a software issue the same day without anyone coming to your door.
Why customers come back: we're fully insured and background-checked, we quote a flat price before we start, and we explain what's actually wrong in plain language. If a repair isn't worth the money, we'll say so. No hidden fees and no upsells you didn't ask for.
Tell us what your device is doing and we'll tell you what it takes to fix it.

What an amazing company! I had a problem with a new computer not recognizing my printer. They responded within one hour of my request. They scheduled a service call, communicated the day before, let me know when they were on the way, and arrived on time. Onterrio diagnosed the problem quickly and had the issue resolved within thirty minutes. The service charge was reasonable and it was a pleasure to have them in my home. Professional, personable, knowledgeable and efficient. I will definitely use TechConnect again, and I'll call them for referrals when I have other repairs needed - that's how much I trust them. I can't recommend this company highly enough. We need more contractors like this!

What started as a software issue ultimately required a complete machine rebuild, and throughout the entire process, the technician was outstanding. He was patient, communicative, and kept me informed every step of the way, clearly explaining what was happening and what to expect. His troubleshooting was thorough, and the final solution was effective. I truly appreciated his professionalism, persistence, and commitment to getting everything working properly. I would gladly recommend his services to anyone needing reliable technical support.

What a great company! I had a problem with a new computer not recognizing my printer. When I reached out to them they responded the same day and scheduled an appt for two days later. They followed up to confirm the appt and showed up on time. They were fast, efficient, and a pleasure to have in my home. They quickly fixed the problem for a very reasonable price. I can't recommend them highly enough. Onterrio knows his stuff and I will definitely use them again. Very professional and trustworthy. Thanks y'all!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Flat-rate pricing on most services, quoted before we start — you approve the number before any work begins. No diagnostic fee that reappears on the invoice, no trip charge buried at the bottom. We discount for repeat customers, bundled jobs (a TV mount plus soundbar and cable concealment, say), and small businesses on ongoing support. Remote sessions cost less than onsite visits and usually resolve faster. We take credit card, cash, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with questions: what the device is doing, when it started, what changed recently, and whether anything on it needs backing up first. Then we diagnose, tell you what we found, and give you a firm price. Nothing gets done until you approve it. When the work is finished we test it with you and confirm it's actually working before we leave or end the session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We've been doing this professionally since 2016, and our technicians learn this trade the way it's actually learned — on real hardware, across thousands of jobs. Between us that covers hardware repair and component-level diagnosis, Windows and macOS troubleshooting, malware removal, network configuration and cabling, and low-voltage installation. We stay current on security threats and operating-system changes deliberately, because the failure modes shift every year: what fixed a slow machine five years ago isn't what fixes one now.
