Introduction: I love math and love to teach/tutor math. I am very patient when comes to tutoring math. Everyone doesn't learn one way. I use different strategies for an individual student to learn math.
I tutor math from elementary level to high school level math. Currently, I teach pre algebra, algebra 1 and geometry at a local community college.
I came from India with B.S. in Math and 90% of post graduates work in math. I lived in IL for 25 years and moved to NC in the fall of 2011. While I was in IL, I took my first job as a teacher's assistant for a special education students after applying for a job in retails which I never got. My first job gears me to work as a teacher but it was not that easy so I started to sub in middle school and then high school, mostly in math department for five years. I was always passionate to teach math because I love math. I started tutoring math as a job for a local high school and also volunteered to tutor student who needed help in math, in the local library. Finally, I started my career in teaching math for the GED and worked for eight years. Since then, I moved to NC where I started working as a Developmental Math Instructor and also for few hours, I also was tutoring college students. I also started tutoring math to middle school and high school students. Currently, I tutor few students from middle school. I receive my biggest satisfaction after teaching math class or a tutoring sessions when I see student from my class at the college or parent tell me my son or daughter is doing great in the math. I deeply care for my student when I am teaching at the college or tutor student to understand math not as a subject to be done, but take that concept and apply out side the class to make a sense.
