Saijean’s In-home Guitar Lessons

My name is Saijean I am 26 years old, and I teach in home guitar lessons. Where I come to your home! I travel to, Huntersville, Mooresville, Statesville and surrounding areas. I specialize in helping kids and adults looking to learn guitar. If you are a complete beginner or intermediate guitar player I may be a good fit for you! My first guitar was given to me by my Uncle when I was 8 years old. My grandfather created a jazz band in the 50s called the port pleasant jazz band. And my father played trumpet and piano. Music has been apart of my life as early as I can remember. I fell in love with singing at 4 years old and started playing piano when I was 5 years old. At 10 years old I joined my schools orchestra and played violin for 3 years. I then found my way back to guitar at 10- 11 years old and haven’t put it down since. At 19 years old I started studying with my current mentor and guitar teacher Henry Loudermilk where I studied jazz for about 2 years. I continue to study Jazz with my teacher Henry. I then started my in home music teaching at 21 years old while also teaching guitar and beginner piano at Joyful Sounds School of Music. I taught there for 9 months before fully pursuing my own music teaching career. I’m inspired by blues and jazz music. And continue to learn more and more on this music journey. I have been teaching guitar and beginner piano since 2020. I’ve taught as young as 4y-adult. I teach beginner guitar - advanced level. I create a lesson plan for each individual student, as I feel everyone learns differently. I try to incorporate core fundamentals of music theory along with learning songs that students love. Helping students understand what makes these songs that they love so great. I will always push my students towards what they want to learn and more so be a guide to help them along the way. For more advanced guitar students I offer Jazz chord melody, ways to learn your fretboard, and incorporate music theory to freely improvise.
