Amy Weits Photography & Designs is a husband and wife elopement and intimate wedding photography team based in Asheville, NC. We both have a heart for exploration and love working with couples who share this adventurous spirit. Genuine smiles, hearty laughs, spontaneous adventures, that’s what we’re all about. We offer unlimited consultations and planning help to all of our couples, location and permit guidance, vendor recommendations, timeline and activity suggestions, and candid laidback photo coverage of your day. We have a variety of elopement and wedding packages as well as custom photography packages. We have experience in over 100+ weddings and elopements and are here to help make sure you have a freaking amazing day!

Amy went above and beyond during my branding shoot! Her and her husband delivered in every vision I had, brought in their creative freedom where I needed it, and provided high quality content for me to work with. I would consider using this team again in the future, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer/videographer team that checks all the boxes.

It has been such a wonderful experience working with Amy to capture our photos! We live out of state, and she helped so much with planning! She even went out of her way and offered to let us follow her and her husband to our photo destination since service was spotty there and I was worried about not being able to reach out if something went wrong. She's responsive, kind, funny, informative, and overall a fantastic person. We LOVE our photos and will treasure them all for a lifetime ❤️

From initially reaching out through thumbtack, having conversations on the phone to better understand the whole process, to taking the surprise engagement photos - Amy was an absolute delight to work with! She was very clear in her communication and was always prompt to respond to any questions that I had!

Before the Shoot -
As this was one of my first times working with a photographer, I was fairly uncertain of how the whole process should go, but Amy was super helpful and made it a very easy and comfortable process! She explained how the session would work out, and worked with me along the way to ensure that I would be prepared to surprise my fiancé!

Up until the day of the actual photo shoot, Amy was always prompt in her response time, and at no point did I feel confused about how it was all supposed to work. I shared my initial plan for surprising my fiancé, and she gave me some great tips and recommendations to my original plan (this really helped out with the timing of when we would capture the surprise proposal!)

Day of the Shoot -
Amy's coordination with me was impeccable and we were able to catch some beautiful photos of the proposal! Afterwards she guided us to some amazing scenic areas around the Biltmore to capture a plethora of wonderful and memorable photos. We felt comfortable the whole time, and Amy was an absolute joy to talk with as we were walking around the different areas.

After the Shoot -
Within the first few days of the photo shoot session, Amy provided us with some teaser photos that looked absolutely stunning! The rest of the photos were ready in the time period that Amy first stated, and we couldn't be happier with the photos we got!

I would definitely recommend Amy to anyone looking to capture memorable photos in the city of Asheville!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    For weddings I have multiple packages as well as hourly rates so I can fit most any budget. Half day coverage starts at $2500 and full day coverage starts at $4500. Couples & Engagement Sessions start at $550. Maternity Sessions start at $550.
