What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Go to my website wslawnservice.com and you will see all my pricing for most of my services.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Contact the customer. Drive to their address and look at the job that they want done. Provide a quote. If they accept, then we put them on the schedule and get started as soon as we can.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
No formal education, but I do have about 12 yrs OJT.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into my line of work because I needed to provide for my family and I also love working outside with my hands. So I chose a proffession where I could do both at the same time and enjoy what I do.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common job that I do for my customers is routine lawn maintenance. I also do small tree removal, flower and shrub planting, small retaining walls, raised planters, mulch, pinestraw, fertilization, and aerating and overseeding.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You need to hire someone that has a working knowledge of lawn care. Anybody can push a lawn mower, but if you want your lawn looking its best, then you need someone who understands the science behind lawn care. Also, you need to make sure he has a valid NC state Pesticide license. If he doesn't and he sprays any chemical on your lawn, then he is doing it illegally and could permanantly damage your lawn. If he has a valid liscence than you can rest assured that he knows what he is doing and that he is doing it legally.
