FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hi! I will give one price quote for the job based on how long I estimate it taking me. If I run into something unexpected that changes what you hired me to do, I may need to adapt my fee. However, I will always check before doing any additional work that may require an increased fee!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will ask for photos and more information about the job you are hiring me to do. I will then send you a job quote that covers my labor and any materials I might need to purchase. If you accept the amount we will schedule a time together and I will ask you some more specifics around your preferences and needs and also give you more specifics around the length of time, level of noise/mess it will make while I'm working, what to expect, etc. I will clean thoroughly after the job unless you do not want me to. Then, after the job I will show you what I did and make sure you are satisfied before requesting payment and heading out!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been building/making things since childhood alongside my woodworker dad and sewing mom. I have worked professionally in camper repair/renovation work for eight years and during that time worked at a camper repair shop where I learned more skills. All of that transfers to handy person work!
