Introduction
I am 54 years old. I raised six kids and have always loved and cared for animals. Now my kids all have grown and left home. My companions are my three dogs and four cats. I love animals. I have found and rescued many animals from abusive and harsh environments, brought them into my home and gave them love, care and attention and worked towards the animal trusting humans again.
An animal that has come from an environment full of abuse and neglect needs to be shown that all humans are not mean and destructive. Trust and love along with attention and care for them can bring an animal out of the fear they sometimes show when rescued. You just have to really work with animals that have been abused and neglected and most of the time, they will make a great companion and give you love back for all you have done for them. It is a very rewarding feeling to gain their trust again.
