I am super happy I found Chris ! I call him a one man show because he knows how to do a little of everything! I asked him to come out to help me with my HVAC unit. It needed a full maintenance inspection. Chris was super patience with me and listen to what I needed because I told him I it hasn’t been serviced in a while . He came out and addressed all my concerns, told Me why I was having the problem and super detailed about what he found , cut wires , 40% unit clogged he cleaned it and some duct work needs to be replace and adding additional heat strips so it will run more efficiently. I found him to be very knowledgeable. He said he would be more than happy to fix it and I have schedule for him to return to finalize all that was found.

Matthews Mechanical installed an outdoor ceiling fan and repaired a leak in my bathroom. Everything that others say about Chris is the truth. My experience was that he communicated the process of what needed to be done, he was quick, efficient and reasonably priced.

Chris and his helper are great. Diagnosed a HVAC drain problem that may have been going on for some time, including a missing valve that my regular HVAC crew never brought up or found affecting proper draining of upstairs air handler. A serious one at that. Took pictures and explained the issue to me. Excellent work and good value for work done. If you have a repair or electrical issue, Chris is your handyman guy!

Bottom-line: Christopher did an absolutely amazing job. He far exceeded my expectations for HVAC repair from numerous previous service calls to other companies. I have finally found my go-to resource for HVAC services. Not only is he very knowledgeable about HVAC, but his enthusiasm for the job and satisfying the customer is genuine and sincere. He truly loves the work he does and helping his customers. He truly was a joy to work with and I would recommend him without hesitation. Within minutes, he had not only diagnosed the problem with one of my AC units, but had it fixed and up and running again. I actually had a 2nd problem with my other AC unit and he immediately diagnosed the problem and quickly had it running correctly as well. I typically like to ask a lot of questions to understand what the problem(s) and solution(s) were so I can be a better-informed customer to better take care of my equipment for longevity as well as for future DIY repairs as possible. He took the extra time and effort to explain what the problems were, what he was doing and what the fixes were and made it easier for me to better take care and maintain my equipment.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally Charge a $75 service fee. I charge $75 hourly for my services. My previous customers can attest to the quality of my work. Other service prices vary according to project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I like to greet the customer. I want my customers to feel comfortable after all we are strangers to one another. I then allow the customer to explain the problem they are having or the upgrades they would like to make.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from a two-year associates degree program at a technical school. I worked for NCDPS for about 8 years doing Electrical and HVAC repair. Also my family is in the rental property business and to lower our operating costs we do our own work. We have been in the rental business for over 30 years. I obtained a vast amount of experience servicing our properties. Service work has become a passion of mine. I love the challenge of solving problems. In all my years I have yet to find a problem I could not solve in an efficient and cost effective manner.
