- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every Maven job starts with a free, no-pressure on-site inspection and a written estimate — no ballpark phone quotes, because a roof you can't see is a roof we can't price honestly. Pricing varies with roof size, pitch, material, and access, but we're transparent about line items and we never add surprise fees. If your project involves storm or hurricane damage, we'll work directly with your insurance carrier so the number you pay is what your policy actually covers.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) You reach out through Thumbtack — we respond in about a minute. 2) We schedule a free on-site inspection within 24–48 hours, same day for active leaks. 3) Your inspector walks the roof, documents with photos, and sits down with you to explain what they found and what your options are. 4) You get a written estimate, usually within one business day. 5) Once you're ready, we schedule the crew and you can track your technician live on the day of service. 6) After the job, our project manager confirms cleanup, reviews the workmanship warranty with you, and stays your point of contact for anything that comes up later.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Maven is a licensed NC General Contractor (License #84412, Unlimited limitation, Building classification), fully insured for general liability and workers' compensation. We're a 2026 GAF Master Elite® Roofing Contractor — an invitation-only tier held by roughly the top 2% of roofing contractors in North America — which authorizes us to offer GAF's enhanced Golden Pledge®, Silver Pledge™, and System Plus warranties on qualifying systems. Our crews are also IBHS FORTIFIED trained, which matters a lot in coastal wind and storm zones. Our inspectors are trained in insurance-claim documentation so homeowners aren't left to figure out their carrier alone. As a Veteran-owned company, we run our crews on military-grade standards for safety, punctuality, and accountability.
