Mallory committed to a portrait session for our working dog Kai in February 2019. The session unexpectedly turned out to be a fun and breathtakingly memorable active family photo session! We originally wanted the session to focus on Kai in a natural, outdoor setting which is where we all already individually and collectively spend a large portion of our professional and personal time.
Having had contact with Mallory at multiple outdoor industry functions, I was already exposed to and familiar with her work ethic and portfolio in rugged, active, outdoor settings. Her portfolio covers a wide range of angles, playful, creative, and insanely genius use of light, and captures unfiltered human emotion in an instant. What made her work most memorable for me and my family was the organic connection we’ve been able to sustain despite time, life changes and distance. Her communication from the onset was clear, timely, consistent and full of genuine, unwavering commitment.
We didn't have any concerns going into the photo session since Kai was our primary focus. When she graciously encouraged us into some of the photos, we initially resisted. Mallory's authentic intention for people erased all our camera-shy nerves within minutes. Nervous laughs turned into once-in-a-lifetime moments at one of our beloved local outdoor spots.
As a Special Operations family living in a state of high operational tempo, it's not often we're in the same place at once. It's been about 15 years since our last photo session. Mallory captured and delivered all our emotions, thoughts and feelings in each of the snapshots taken during the session. She captured Kai's magical and alpha-like personality at dusk and delivered some of the loveliest and mysteriously beautiful silhouette family photos we've ever seen. We got an accurate representation of what we've been through, are going through and where we're going. Mallory captured all our emotions, thoughts and feelings from behind her lens and her innate ability to organically connect with us as her clients.
Having had no issues with the entire process from initial contact, booking, communication, in-session and post-production, it is with zero hesitation we highly recommend Mallory to outdoorsy and active businesses, individuals, couples, families and their children and pets who want to capture truly intimate and special moments and milestones in action.

I needed headshots pronto for a brochure and Mallory was able to fit me in and get them back to me right away! She is so talented I knew I had to have her. I love the way her photos all have emotion behind them. I hate getting photographed and she was able to capture many natural poses and also make me laugh and feel at ease! I loved her easy personality and was extremely pleased with the final result. You need to have her for any event, headshot or family photo shoot!

What a dream! Working with Mallory is like bringing your best friend with you and hanging out for the day while she captures moments of you and your new husband in such a mind blowing way you feel like you are on the cover of Vogue. She is a complete artistic genius and the easiest photographer I have ever worked with. She knows how to capture the right angles and is so so good at working with light.
We got the pictures back and I literally cried. I am talking pictures so gorgeous, natural, and creative that you put it on on your wall and people ask you if it is a magazine cover.
Mallory captured every moment and made us felt so at ease that it was a treat taking hours of pictures for our couples shoot. I felt like I was on a date with my new husband and got to remember every moment that we had together.
I would book her and recommend her to every friend I have in the world. I know it sounds like I am exaggerating but she is seriously THAT good. Do yourself a favour and book Mallory. You will not regret it! Spending the afternoon shooting with her was one of our favourite parts of our wedding weekend.

Mallory went above and beyond and was with us every step of the way. Her work speaks for itself, magical moments transpire when she's behind the lens and light. Candids, staged, or on the fly with her iPhone, (to catch that extra reflection she will edit in later) the woman is prepared and poised to catch every shot. We loved her and her 2nd assistant photographer she brought. She worked into the wee hours of the morning to catch me climb a tree in my wedding dress at the après park party. She was the only photographer we wanted and worked with us to make it happen. Thank you for capturing the moments Mallory.
