- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We plan time to meet so I can get to know their needs and preferences and then take home what I have learned in our consultation to craft a menu they will love. Every family is different. Some prefer to choose the menus themselves and others struggle to find that time, so I happily craft menus that they approve.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have enjoyed being a personal chef since 2007. I began my professional cooking career as head chef and manager of Apple Works Bakery in southern Indiana. I was in that position for eight years before deciding to branch out on my own. I wanted to expand my creativity in the kitchen and meet the people I was cooking for. This led me to develop my own personal chef service. It was the perfect fit for me. I love getting to know my clients' personal taste preferences and designing menus and new recipes that they can enjoy. I also work from old family recipes that they cherish so that even though they are busy, they can still enjoy the flavors of their mother's and grandmother's cooking. I have worked side by side with moms and dads struggling with their children's food allergies to make recipes that their kids like and can eat without fear. I love making dinner a place where all my families can enjoy themselves again.
