Introduction: Hi, my name is Jake and I am a freelance photographer! I have been doing photography as a hobby for a couple years now, but I would like to start making it my side job. I mostly focus on Portrait Photography and Head Shots, but I would like to branch out into other photography styles (Engagement, Event, Fashion, etc.) Also, I would say my signature style is selective coloring (converting a photo to black and white while leaving the main subject in full color) if you are interested. I am a focused individual that wants to capture the perfect moment for myself and others.

Jake absolutely rocked our photo shoot. I needed someone to take professional photos of myself in a new costume I had for Halloween and comic conventions. Jake was with me every step of the way, asking me what types of poses I’d want to do, asking for photos of the character I was dressed as so we could replicate those poses and made the experience completely easy and comfortable. The end result was phenomenal. I was so pleased with the photos he took. I could never match his level of talent or take photos similar to what he did. The photos looked like they were professionally done, and I looked like a legitimate cosplayer. Jake even threw in some tiny detailed additions to my photos that were the icing on the cake. His fee was completely affordable and I’ll be using him every time I get a new costume in the future.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending on the job, I usually ask for $40/hr, but I am negotiable. I can also do 45 min and 30 min sessions for a prorated amount, and discounts for leaving a review!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to get to know them a little first, what they are looking for, and if they have any specific shots they want to be captured.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associate's Degree in Film and Video Production, and I have been doing photography as a hobby for about two years with a few paid gigs.
