We bought our house this past summer and soon after discovered we had a roof leak around the chimney. After we had Affordable Home improvements remove the
vinyl siding from the chimney (the entire house has real cedar siding) there was incorrect flashing and no house wrap on the chimney to prevent areas of rotten wood. We also had to have a new roof installed at the same time and Affordable Home Improvements was at our house within minutes of the roof installation completed. They had all rotten wood replaced and fiber cement siding installed in just a few hours. This is a very professional company to work with. Their quote was very reasonable, returned phone calls and texts immediately, was on time to complete the job, and the work was done correctly. Their work is done with the utmost professionalism and that is the reason we have scheduled this company to do additional work at our house.

My wife and I contacted Mike Maneth at Affordable Home Improvement Services to repair our back building, install a new back door on our house, redo some sheet rock taping, and other odds and ends. What a fortuitous decision we made! I could write paragraphs about the positive experience we had with Mike and his team, but I will summarize by listing the "Top 10" reasons (in no particular order) I believe you should choose Affordable Home Improvement Services for your next home project: (1) Communication--you simply will not find better interaction from a contractor--Mike constantly keeps you "in the loop" on what needs to be done, what is being done, and what remains to be done; (2) Fair, transparent pricing--"Affordable" is in the name of the company, and Mike means it--Not in a "cheap" way, but in a quality, value-added, "you get what you pay for" kind of way; (3) Pride in workmanship--The fact that Mike takes great pride in the quality of his work is obvious--For him, the "right" way is the only way; (4) A great team--Cody did the bulk of the actual work on the project, and to coin the phrase my kids use, "he's got mad skills!" I'm pretty sure Cody knows most everything there is to know about home improvement, and the fact that he is so young makes his knowledge and skill set all the more impressive; (5) Humor--Home improvement can be very stressful and serious, but Mike and Cody taught us that it helps both workers and homeowners to smile through the process; (6) Cleanliness--Cody was meticulous about the interior of our house, our back yard, and our side yard, telling us that he always likes to leave a work site in better condition than he found it; (7) Recommendations based on expertise--Some may brush this off as salesmanship, but it really helps to know how a particular home improvement will add actual value to your life and to your largest investment, your home; (8) Friendliness--We now consider both Mike and Cody our friends; (9) Agreeableness--My wife and I probably asked Mike and Cody 1,000 questions over the course of the work, and they always welcomed those questions and provided insightful, experience-based answers; and (10) Options--Throughout the work, Mike gave us several alternatives and let us decide which one to choose, in an entirely pressure-free way.Whenever my wife and I need other work done to our home, we will not need options in terms of who does the work--We will always choose Mike, Cody, and the other fine professionals at Affordable Home Improvement Services!

My family hired AHIS in January to do a complete basement finish for my aging mother. The 1200 sq ft basement was mostly unfinished, and the areas that were finished needed to be redone properly.Mikes life and business experiences have provided him insight into the accessibility needs of persons with disabilities and aging persons. And his design skills are brilliant! His recommendations were spot-on. During the time of the build-out, we started to feel as though Mike and the boys were more like family than employees. Each of them were respectful and courteous, answering our questions, hearing our concerns, and working with us seamlessly when we realized different needs during the build. Many of those needs Mike anticipated and was careful not to box us in with no other options. Mike and his team were patient while we made decisions on materials and offered his professional opinion to ensure our choices included great quality without the excessive cost.My mother has been living in her new space for over two months now and she is absolutely thrilled with the accessibility, integrity and thoughtful use of spacebut I think shes even more thrilled with how gorgeous her space is! She is so proud to show off her new home.Since completing the basement, Mike and his team have extended our back deck, added a roof, stairs and replaced the old pvc railings with cables to take full advantage of the view. Its now our favorite space.Mike brings years of wisdom, solid quality, and integrity to each job he takes on. Since the initial build-out, we have hired Mike for several additional projects and would do so again in the future without hesitation.
