Bill came and did some very small jobs for us, so we are first appreciative that he actually bid the job and came to help us (removing chair rail, adding picture rail, and repairing a broken staircase pole.) Bill is a very mellow, congenial, considerate and skillful guy. He works deliberately, doesn't rush through things, but works quickly and effortlessly. A consumate professional and hope to have him back to do work that utilizes his obvious talent for woodworking.

We had Bill build some very detailed cabinets in our living room. My wife is very specific about what she likes and how she wants it installed and when the work is completed it exceptional because of her focus. This makes contracting difficult on occassion but Bill was patient, attentive, and delivered a great project for us.

We had Bill at our home to do a lot of crown molding, wainscoting, and a coffered ceiling in our dining room. The results were even better than we could've expected! This guy is not your regular handyman....His work is beautiful, clean, precise, and all at very reasonable price! I am going to send Bill pictures, and hopefully he'll post (since I can't figure out how to). Thank you again Bill! Jon Frank

Bill was amazing to work with. I had a vision and he was able to listen and help me refine my vision to build something in an existing space that looked like it had always been there. He constructed a two (2) sided bookcase in an opening we had between the dining room and the living room. It matched the existing trim and style as though it was part of the original design. He was easy to work with, very knowledgeable, on time and professional. I would certainly contract him again. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him and am very happy with the end result.

Trim Time was amazing. They took our idea and sketch of a built in bookcase/media cabinet and not only delivered on our hopes but vastly improved it. The way they installed the bookcase even straightened out our wall. Beautiful, quick, easy and only slightly more expensive than a pre-fabricated or store bought equivalent.

FAQs

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

In Southern Village ( Chapel Hill ), I installed coffers in a 17' x 20' great room with 12' ceilings. I also modified two existing cabinets on each side of the fire place to make the spaces flow.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Whether you are thinking about moldings, built-ins, coffer-ed ceilings, bookcases, on and on...., the truth of the matter is, none of these add significant value in the resale of your home, especially if you live in a subdivision. However, when it's time to sell, it does give you a huge advantage over any other home in your price range. The extra MORTGAGE payments you make while you wait for your home to sell, could be used instead to enhance your home to sell far before others with a similar floor plan. Plus, you'll get to enjoy it for as long as you stay!
