Introduction: I’m a full-time high school teacher and adjunct college professor who wants to help you reach your language goals in Spanish or English! I also offer Spanish-to-English and English-to-Spanish document translation services. 2022 Burroughs Wellcome Fund NC Charter School Teacher of the Year; 2022 NC Humanities Educator of the Year; 2021 local Teacher of the Year; 2017 & 2019 local Young Educator of the Year I'm a passionate language educator, certified in both Spanish and English as a Second Language (ESOL) by the state of North Carolina. I have my B.A. in Spanish, Linguistics, ESOL & Education as well as an M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition & Teaching from the University of Florida. I've taught a wide range of learners through my decade in education, from 5th graders to older adults, and what makes me the happiest is seeing people make a lasting connection with with a different culture!

LinguaZoom was such a blessing! My son who is a sophomore in High School was struggling with Spanish 2. Mr. Storrs helped my son pass his summer school class and gave him the confidence he needed in order to get through the class. He is very knowledgeable, patient, kind, and flexible. Without LinguaZoom my son would not have passed his summer school class. I highly recommend LinguaZoom to any student struggling with Spanish.

He is incredibly knowledgeable about languages, how best to help kids learn a language, and how to motivate them to want to succeed. He helped my son learn to love Spanish and enjoy the intricacies of language. He is extremely professional and very good at connecting with his students. He will work different angles until he finds the best way to help each individual student based on their interests and abilities. I highly recommend - parents will be very pleased at the progress their child will make! Absolutely wonderful teacher!

As a tutor, Keegan is responsive and extremely effective. I liked that he spoke nearly exclusively in Spanish, as much as possible, for an immersive lesson. He is knowledgeable but not condescending, friendly but professional, and always has a lesson plan that is challenging but suited for my level.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In our first session, we’ll talk about your goals and how we can reach them together! This will help me personalize your learning plan. We can even get started right away with course material! I offer both in-person lessons (near Durham, NC), as well as online tutoring services through Zoom. Sessions cost $40 and last approximately one hour each.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is for us to talk through your current level (in Spanish or English) and to discuss your goals and timeline for learning. I then create an individualized education plan for each student, allowing me to meet your particular wants, needs, and goals!
