FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Estate planning is a very personal matter. When we meet, I review all of your options with you and I make recommendations based on your budget. Since this planning is based on your individual needs, quoting in a general sense is not possible without knowing more information. For example, a very basic estate plan will be cheaper than an advanced multi-generational Trust plan. Any time I talk with a potential client, I provide a detailed worksheet for them to complete and I meet with them for FREE to discuss their planning needs and am up front on the costs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we first talk, I get some VERY basic information and send a detailed worksheet for them to complete. Once completed and returned to me for review, we schedule a time convenient for the potential client to sit down and discuss their options. This initial meeting is FREE. During the meeting, we talk about all of the steps it takes till the delivery of the estate plan and the costs associated with creating a detailed and effective plan.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
North Carolina requires a minimum of 12 hours of continuing legal education a year. I also belong to a nationwide company called Wealth Counsel that continues to keep me updated on current events as well ongoing continuing education so that I can take advantage of any money saving techniques on behalf of my clients.
