We had a large concrete slab poured for our building. They were given specific instructions that the pad needed to be level. I knew there was a language barrier, therefore I arranged for one of my co-workers (who speaks fluent Spanish) to be here to assist with the communication. My yard does have a grade to it, however that was discussed during the time Sandro came out to quote. They assured me that would not be an issue. After they where finished I had the building company come out to install the building. They noticed the pad was not level but said that the had a leniency of 6 inches off level. As they began measuring, they discovered that the pad was 17 1/2 inches out of level from front to back on the left side and 11 inches from front to back on the right side. I called Sandro and he said that was impossible. I had him speak to the builder and he argued with him as well. A few days later, Sandro came back out to assess the work where he then discovered that it was in fact that far out of level. Instead of owning his mistake and making it right, he stated that is wasn’t his problem because the yard was not level. He then went on to tell me that the pad was “level with the yard”. He said there was nothing that he would do about it and for him to fix it, it would cost me another $4000. This is absolutely ridiculous. I’m a manager of a large company and understand that mistakes happen. Regardless of the cost my company has to take on to make it right, I know it’s the cost of doing business. Sandro had no empathy or remorse for his mistake and took ZERO ownership. I am now having to go through hoops to get this fixed and it is costing me a lot more money for someone else’s mistakes. I would not recommend this company for anything. Their only concern is getting in and out and getting paid. Stay away if you are looking for a professional job done by professional people.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find out what the customer needs. Get the measurements and give a estimate. I frame the area and get the customers approval before pouring the concrete. I want to make sure the customer is happy with the shape and placement .

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at there past work. Ask questions and advice if unsure. Cheapest price is not always the best option.
