Introduction: My students enjoy taking lessons from me because not only do I focus on improving their musicianship, but I also focus on building their self-confidence. I love the look in my student's eye when he/she completely understands a new musical concept, and confidently performs it flawlessly. The most rewarding experience I have had is teaching Alexx. She is 26, and has Down's Syndrome. She has been taking lessons from me now for over 5 years. Her overall self-confidence has improved so much, and the joy she experiences singing is truly a heart-warming experience to witness and be a part of. She has a beautiful soprano voice, and has performed in her own vocal recital, quite a few Master Classes, and has had significant roles in Community Theater.

I have been working with Elizabeth for a while now. She is an enthusiastic and exuberant teacher. I have been frankly amazed at my progress. I would recommend her as a teacher whether you are a serious student with professional aspirations, or a hobbiest seeking to round out your skills.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. Not only did I receive my Post-Masters Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from East Carolina University in 2007, but I also belong to the following groups: Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). I have adjudicated competitions, and participated in workshops for both groups. Both groups also have Linked In groups which I am a part of, and read religiously.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
This is something I have always wanted to do. What I like about holding quarterly Master Classes, is that it gives my students opportunities to perform roles and pieces that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to do.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I often accompany my voice students for performances and/or auditions.
