Provide a technician with the all the necessary information including : 1) Your Name 2) Your Address (For Onsite Services) 3) Your Phone Number 4) Your E-mail Address 5) Your Device Type (Laptop, Desktop, Tablet, Smart Phone) 6) Your Device Model 7) Your Device Serial Number 8) Detailed Description of your problem including Error Code, Symptoms, etc. This template can be found on our company website as a model when submitting a ticket via Thumbtack. • I have asked Thumbtack for years to request this very information. • If a ticket is submitted via Thumbtack without a Make, Model and Serial Number our technicians will not respond to it. Your Mechanic can't provide an estimate to repair your car if they don't know the brand, year and model; and like a mechanic, we can't either. • If you have an error message, provide a screen shot or a photo from your phone; you may send it as a follow up to the ticket once one of our technicians responds. • If you specifically want the service performed at your location please denote this in the "Message and Description of Problem" area on the Ticket Submission Form. Please be aware of our pricing categories mentioned below. PRICING FALLS INTO THREE CATEGORIES: 1) Services performed at your Home or Business is billed at an hourly rate of $45 per hour. A Trip Fee will be applied based upon mileage from our location to your address at 75¢ per mile round trip. 2) Services performed at our Home Office are Flat Rate per job. You may bring your device(s) to our location and pick them up when services are completed to minimize additional fees. 3) Remote Sessions are billed at $35 per hour with a one hour minimum. Remote Session requires an Internet Download Speed of 30 Mbps and Upload Speed of 5 Mbps. This information can be found by visiting www(.)speedtest(.)net • We Include 30 days Service Warranty. If the same problem occurs with the same part/s and/or the same App or Software, we will fix it free of charge within the 30 days. • Our 30 days service warranty does not include the preexisting issue with a customer’s hardware and/or software problem prior to or/and not relate to our previous repaired work including any loss of data. • Bringing Your Tech to Life assumes no liability for data loss of any kind. • Bringing Your Tech to Life may agree to any End User License Agreements of Software Installed on your behalf. • Computers and/or Equipment left with Bringing Your Tech to Life over 30 days after service completion will be classified as abandoned and may be recycled or sold. DISCOUNTS and/or PROMOTIONS • Our business runs several discounts and/or promotions online through our company website (Prohibited from being listed on Thumbtack Profile per Thumbtack Guidelines) and on our Social Media Platforms. Paul did a great job helping us recover from a hacking incident. He was quick to schedule an appointment, punctual, and very fast and efficient in checking our computer remotely and disabling and enabling the affected software programs. Paul was the first of three to respond to my posting of a computer problem on Thumbtack. He responded in the early morning hours explaining how he charged, what my problem might be based on my explanation and how to proceed from there. Based on distances involved and timing I went with someone else but I was quite impressed with Paul and all else being equal he would have been my choice.

Very Impressed with Bring Your Tech To Life!!!! Our computers had major issues. Paul came to evaluated the problems, then went above and beyond to get us up and running. He is very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing repair or replacement!!! You will not get better service anywhere!!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Our prices are based on the services provided. We offer On Site Service in your home or business at an hourly rate and flat rate pricing when equipment is worked on at our Shop. Our flat rate pricing is the best value to our customers as it allows us to work on multiple devices as once. Often many services require the "computer to do the work" such as scans or maintenance services. We feel our clients shouldn't have to pay for a service while the technician is "twiddling their thumbs". For our Flat Rating Pricing we accept drop offs from our clients by appointment and if you need your equipment picked up we can perform that for a nominal travel expense based on mileage. Our pricing is always agreed upon up front so there are no surprises when it comes time for payment.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Performing a brief consultation over the phone to ensure we have a full understanding of the services required and requested. We will determine whether an Onsite Service or Drop Off Service is best suited for their needs and what options will be the most economical .

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Our technicians constantly take classes provided by the leading companies in technology including Microsoft, Apple and Cisco. In addition several of the large computer manufacturers such as HP and Dell offer partnership programs which include hands on training and web seminars. We also subscribe to multiple online forums to stay on top of new technology and review what others are saying before we recommend it to others.
