I had Curtis replace my old wood floor with new engineered flooring after I had some water damage. He was always on time, worked hard, and completed when he said he would. There were a couple issues after he left and once I called him, he immediately responded and volunteered to come back and fix the very small issues. He is responsible, and trustworthy

We began this job at the end of January, and were told it would take about a month. By mid March, the job still was not done. Then Covid hit. The job did not get finished until June. I could have dealt with the length of time had the job been done well. At first, it was. But the details at the end are just sloppy. There are still holes, jagged cuts, lots of caulking used to fill gaps. There are corners that are not done properly, and we asked for them to be fixed. They weren’t. I did two stars instead of one because the basic layout of our floor looks good and he is a nice man; however, I expect when I pay someone to do a job, they pay attention to detail. That did not happen here. He had to have known it was sloppy, as there was no additional contact after he was supposed to be finished to be sure we were happy. I have attached pictures of the work, as I think they speak for themselves. Sadly I can only add 4- there are about ten examples of the sloppy work.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I will give my pricing in writing. And I like to get half of the project cost upfront to buy materials. Depending on the situation. Sometimes I may require all the project cost upfront. But normally I just need half.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First by phone call or text or email. Then I visit with the customer and look at there project and we make a collective effort with the customer to offer our services.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out working for My brother who is a General Contractor and fixing his rental properties.
