It All Started With a Vision Karen is a retired special educator with 35 years of teaching students with special needs in Maryland. After retirement, Karen started her own professional organizing business in Maryland which targeted the greater DC/Baltimore area before relocating to North Carolina 9 years ago. Karen started her organizing business in 2018. Karen uses her natural ability to declutter a variety of spaces in a client’s home. Her specialty is Senior downsizing. Downsizing is a process and not a quick fix. She helps clients by empowering them while helping develop strategies to maintain their own space in a non-judgemental way. She credits her organizational skills to her successful teaching career. By providing the client with certain techniques, she has helped them with time management and home management needs to improve their quality of life. Karen is a widow and married for 37 years to a wonderful man. She has 2 grown children, their spouses, and 3 grandchildren. She enjoys volunteering at 2 local theatres, being with her family/friends, walking, swimming, the beach and traveling. Organizing has provided Karen an opportunity to meet some amazing people! She is a member of various organizations including NAPO (National Assoc. of Productivity and Organizing), North Brunswick chamber of commerce, South Brunswick Chamber of Commerce and various other networking groups.
