How do I begin to describe the amout of respect and admiration that I have for Jeff Coltenback? We first met about four years ago when I wondered into his shop one day asking for help with a community based instruction program that we were starting at my school, my students have interned there since. After that I began to shop at his store frequantly, and begain to get to know Jeff. I. Have watched him stand up for many dogs, he gave them all the very best of him and assisted countless pet owners. A couple of years ago I decided to become a certified trainer and had the honor of having Jeff as a teacher, the education was priceless. In many ways Jeff has become a life coach for me, as busy as he can be he always takes the time to listen and to be supportive. The respect that I have for this man is not measurable. He is one of my favorire people, coming from me that is a strong statement, as I am not very fond of people. I trust him 100%, as a trainer, as an advisor, as a friend. If you too are lucky enough to cross paths with Jeff please seize the opportunity, you will not be sorry. Jeff had been my go to guy for years! ! I met him when i was having behavioral issues with one of my younger dogs, while he was there he noticed that my other one was having allergy problems. .. she had been to every dr and specialist for them. .. long story short he told me if i followed what he was telling me he can get her to stop itching .. skeptical i was but i was desperate for her. .. HE WAS RIGHT. .. she never scratched again. . And my younger one with the behavioral problems did AWESOME with him. Got the results i was looking for and more. . I am a dog groomer and i see dogs with allot of issues and i recommend him for everything. . ( probably too the point its annoying. Lol).. even would check with him before i go to the vet in most cases

Jeff Coltenback has been a kind, helpful, positive, and supportive trainer and friend since we met him. I don't know what we would have done without him! My mother brought me into Jeff's store Paradise Pet when my German Shepherd puppy, Bear, was only 10 weeks old. (My mom has an 11 year old Shepherd that has done amazingly well due to Jeff's suggestions about food and other natural forms of nutrition and supplements.) Jeff guided me on the best diet, treats, and some initial training commands when my puppy was tiny. Bear loved all of the food and I saw that Jeff had a special way with my puppy. We started doing training with Jeff and Bear thrived with each session. He really connected to Bear and also helped me as the owner. His intense love of animals really shines through in his training. I also loved reading Jeff's book about his special pittie, Amber. It was nice reading a personal story and it was extremely moving. I feel very fortunate to have met Jeff and his wife Diana at the beginning of my dog's life and I know I will continue to rely on him for the best advice and training.

I meet Jeff a long time ago for help with training my rottie and I loved him from the start. He is patient, thorough, knowledgeable, honest and straightforward. We did a few training sessions and he also introduced me to a healthier diet for my dog. He has been there every step of the way with my rottie till the end, even after moving away, he was still a phone call or email away. We also have a parrot whom I spoke with Jeff about a better diet for him. Now a few years later, I was ready for another fury family member and went to Jeff. I have been in contact with him with help and advice with our new puppy with food, health and recently for some training. He has never steered us wrong. He is my go to person for any dog and parrot question. With all the calls and messages I had with him lately, he is ever so patient and caring. I would not know what I would have done without knowing Jeff and his guidance. Thank you Jeff for all you do for me and all the other pet owners out there, and also doing rescue!

It's simple: $150/hour standard rate $200/hour for aggression cases. I offer discounts to rescues and low income families.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do always engage in continuing education. But, frankly, I always the learn the most from the dogs I work with...
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It is my life calling.... No decision was necessary...
