- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I used to work as a Field Biologist, and went to school for environmental science, chemistry, and biology. As a biologist i was outside much, but the job was kind of mundane. Here, i have the best of many different worlds. I get to run a business and handle the administrative challenges. I get to be out in the field using my hands. I get to use my experience and education and imagination to make something out of what was often previously nothing. There is nothing more satisfying than looking back at a job and knowing you did it not only the best that you could do it, but the best that it could be done.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always look for a North Carolina General Landscape Contractor. Even if just for mowing, There are a lot of side job guys with a mower and a pickup truck that are willing to mow your yard for cheap. Sometimes, That may be all you want. But often, These guys do not carry the necessary insurance for if something goes wrong. And if you're expecting your property to end up in better homes and garden, its a rare occasion for that to be obtained by someone offering to mow your yard for cheap.
