I play violin, flute and viola, and also teach those instruments privately. I was a professional flutist with the US Army Band and Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and have played violin with orchestras, Celtic, jazz and Country bands. The best experience that any student could have. My son thoroughly enjoys his lessons with Mr. McCord. He had no previous musical experience & within only a few lessons, he was reading & comprehending how to read music. Mr. McCord’s patience is rivaled only by his passion he has for the craft. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to quote a fair price, taking into account my travel time and expenses. NOTE: due to the current Corvid19 lockdowns I will ONLY be teaching ONLINE via Zoom.Accordingly, I am dropping my prices to $25.00 s lesson of $80.00 a month prepaid through PayPal.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak with them and have a trial lesson, then go from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied flute with Dante Profumo of the Philadelphia and later studies with Dr Karl Strobel of the Stuttgart Opera Orchestra in Germany, and also started violin study there with Heather Fais Zampino. I played in the US Army Bandfield and later with the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps. I studied violin ,viola and composition at George Mason University and have a BFA from Rocheville University, NY.
