Horse boarding, lessons, full training and starting your horses, marketing of your horses are available, and quality horses are available for sale or onsite leases. Owner/head instructor lives onsite and has over 35 years of experience. We have a large, lighted sand arena (250 x 140) with a full set of jumps, small cross country course, new permanent dressage arena coming soon. All horses are treated as individuals; feed is customized to horses' needs. We offer 20+ acres with riding paths around farm. We can provide all your equestrian needs!

My son, age 5, started lessons once a week with Carrie Everhart 8 months ago. We do not own a horse, so he rides one of the Shawnee Acres horses. He has made so much progress with Carrie. She is an excellent teacher, with a lot of creative ideas. She has amazing patience with children, and adapts her teaching to individual learning styles. In addition to weekly lessons, she also helps her students at horse shows, and in our case she transports one of her horses & tack for my son. He has won ribbons at every show he has entered --- and he had no prior knowledge or background. If you are looking for a riding instructor and a mentor, you will do well to associate yourself with Carrie Everhart.

My daughter has been a student of Carrie's at Shawnee Acres for a little over a year now. She is extremely professional and always calm with her riders. She values and teaches safety, respect and teamwork. My daughter has learned alot and I am always comfortable with what she is doing in lessons. Whenever there is a judgement call to be made in terms of what a student is capable of in lessons or in the show ring, she takes the more cautious route. We have had a wonderful experience.

We started with Carrie October 2011. From that point, my daughter has far exceeded my expectations. Carrie is a good, but tough, teacher. She expects her kids to work hard and always do their best. She cares about my daughter and always puts her safety first. We bought a horse from Carrie last year and just in this short time we have even seen the progress between our daughter and her horse develop into great things. Carrie is excellent in being able to tell "a good fit" between child and horse. We have been nothing but pleased with Carrie and the progress our daughter has made!

Though we have only been with Shawnee Acres a couple weeks we were immediately impressed with Carrie. She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and cares about her riders. She takes her time with them and really teaches to them and engages the rider. We are very pleased with our decision to ride with Carrie at Shawnee Acres.
