HELLO! I am a retired USAF veteran with 23+ years experience as a technician. I just recently went out on my own after 7 years with a company servicing physical therapy equipment. PT equipment is commercial grade fitness equipment, so I have 7 years as a technician and manager under my belt. I can assemble, I can troubleshoot and repair and I know where I can find parts if they are still available. I am trained on Woodway treadmills, The entire Matrix line of equipment, Alter G treadmills, and have completed jobs on the side for the past few years on Spirit treadmills and equipment, Life Fitness and many others! This is my first time hiring someone off of Thumbtack, and I was extremely skeptical about doing so; however, it's getting cold, and I desperately needed my treadmill fixed. I messed it up trying to move and tighten the belt constantly...I had no idea what I was doing. I am so happy I decided to hire Dave! His energy and expertise are both 10/10! He said he would arrive at my house by 11:50am...he got here at 11:48am. Very friendly, professional, and knowledgable! He is now my go-to for any exercise equipment repair, because now I can walk on my treadmill without feeling like I'm jerking and going to fall on my a**!

I have an older model, commercial treadmill and the tread finally gave out. This is the point at which my bad luck ended. Dave was quick to respond and incredibly helpful in finding the replacement part. He made quick work of the repair and did all of this at a very fair price. The next gym equipment issue I have will not require a search…just a call to Master Fitness Repair!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I specialize in fitness equipment, NOT just assembly! I charge $60/hour labor and $50/hour travel on fitness equipment repair/assembly/disassembly jobs. Effective on all jobs after 1 August 2025 I add on $25 to any job if you would like me to dispose of an item or packaging. For veterans and first responders, 10% discount with proof of veteran or first responder status

Old School! We can text or chat over the phone and work out a date and time!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
20 years in the USAF, 16 of those as a technician. 7 years as a physical therapy equipment technician, field service manager and lead. I have a BS degree in Industrial Technology/Engineering as well Fitness Equipment is what I do, a niche to be sure!
