Jeff went to Mesabi Range Technical College in Minnesota and received an associates degree in Carpentry. Jeff went on to work in Florida for a company completing all the interior trim and door installation on all the waterfront properties in Clearwater and surrounding areas. When the recession hit in 2008-2010 in Florida, Jeff was unable to consistently maintain work due to company closure and layoffs. Jeff moved with his wife to Charlotte, NC due to a job in structural repairs. Jeff worked and learned about structural and crawlspace repairs for several years. After several years of work he decided that he wanted to start his own company and that is where J&J Woodworking was born. In 2013, Jeff took a chance and invested everything into starting his own business and has been successful for the past 8 years.
