About I teach private sewing lessons to adults and children. I also work with designers to create their designs from sketches. I design many items as well. I am now embroidering clothing, caps, children and baby cloths. I also make one of a kind teddy bears as well as other stuffed animals. I enjoy creating costumes and have recently created Star Trek and Game of Thrones costumes as well as other fun stuff. I love to see creativity come to life. I have been sewing most of my life and could not see myself doing anything else. I take pride in my work and I love to learn new skills as well.

I reached out in almost a panic! I ordered a dress for my 30th birthday from a website that normally works for me but, when the dress arrived it didn’t fit me at all and there was no time to re-order or return. Ebone Creations responded promptly with a next morning appointment at her gallery. When we met she gave me options on how to redesign the dress to fit me perfectly. In less than a week I met with her again and the dress was complete. It fit me so amazing and you couldn’t even tell it had been altered. Her energy was amazing and her work is phenomenal! I’m alredy planning to have her work on other items for me.

FAQs

How did you get started doing this type of work?
My background is Upholstery and interior design. My father and I had an upholstery shop many years ago in Washington DC. I what always take leftover upholstery fabric and make some type of clothing, along with pillows and patchwork bedspreads. In my teens is when I started making my own clothing, things just fit better that way and I had style idea's in my head that I could not find in stores.
