FAQs
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before the actual class, I talk enough with students who want to learn Korean with a trial session. We'll talk about what goals you have and how to study fully, and then set a formal class date and proceed with the class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in Journalism at university in Korea. After that, I've been teaching Korean for heritage learners at a Korean school in the United States for six years.
While in the United States, I majored in a bachelor's degree in Korean language at a prestigious university in Korea as an online course. After that, I took short-term teacher training courses provided by other prestigious universities. I also completed the teacher training course provided by ACTFL in the United States.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
At first, I taught Korean to Heritage learner at Korean school every weekend with a mind of volunteering. While teaching students, I wanted to teach them more professionally, so I got a bachelor's degree in Korean language, participated in training Korean teachers, and obtained a certificate of professional teacher. I really enjoyed this job and loved it, so I was able to get this far.
