Lori was very patient and provided excellent guidance during my lesson. I was a bit nervous as the first and last time I rode a horse was once 40 years ago, Lori stayed close during the tack/untack and riding to ensure I was ok.
Jeff and the instructors at Three Cedars are very knowledgable and passionate about Natural Horsemanship. They practice it everyday in everything they do. Three Cedars is a wonderful place to take lessons and learn all aspects of a horse, more than just riding. They teach you all aspects of a horse, from hoof up. If you want a place that is comfortable and very relaxed to learn about horses and country life, stop by Three Cedars and check it out!
My daughter has ridden at this barn for several years and we have been very pleased with the level of training and experience she has gained.
I have been riding at Foothills for over 10 years now. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of care given to the horses nor the quality of instruction given to the riders. There is something for everyone with a passion for horses, all ages, levels and disciplines!
Foothills Equestrian Center Has turned out to be one of the best life changes I have ever made. Arriving at a new barn can be challenging but Dana and the whole Foothills family welcomed us with open arms. Dana's help and instruction has allowed my teenage daughter to thrive through her riding and has helped me discover a renewed love of riding and learning about our equine partners. Danas expertise is invaluable to me as we overcome every challenge I hit with wonderful new to me Centered Riding techniques. Lesson times are flexible and suit my busy schedule perfectly. Danas horses are safe and well trained which met my goals of safety first and fun second completely. I highly recommend Dana Dewey and Foothills Equestrian Center!
I have boarded my horse at Renaissance Farm for years, I love the care and training he gets. Renie was both trainer and mentor to both of my daughters (starting when they were only lesson students and continuing after they got their own horses). Renie was my trainer originally and I currently take lessons with Tori . Both are strong trainers willing to work with my horse and I as we build a partnership
Crosby Reed is one of the the most professional, knowledgeable and highly experienced trainers we have experienced since beginning our horse journey in 2013. My girls have excelled tremendously in skill and confidence under her guidance and love having the opportunity to learn the many disciplines of riding and driving she offers. They have attended two camps during summer 2014 and plan to attend all the camps she has to offer in 2015 as well as several horse shows. Crosby is structured in training but still makes it a fun experience in a safe learning environment. I personally attended an weekend adult camp at the farm and worked with Crosby in a few other event capacities. I personally have really enjoyed learning from her. She has an amazing natural ability & connection with horses... it is fascinating to watch her working one on one with a horse. She is a wonderful role model of hard work, dedication and determination. Any age and experience level of rider will excel at Mimosa Hills Farm!

There's no need to whisper; love them where they're at. Journeys End Training Center (JETC) is a privately owned full-service equine training and boarding facility located in Davie County, North Carolina. We provide professional off-track training on a 5/8-mile oval for thorough-bred and quarter racehorses. We also re-train the problem horses, rehabilitate retired racehorses and also provide hunter and jumper training. Our training is based on patience, consistency and having a clear understanding and communication with the horse. We train to earn respect and believe in starting young horses with a solid foundation. Our training is for those who desire their young horse to start with trust and friendship and their delinquent horses to be renewed to a new level of trust and respect. Clients are also welcome anytime and encouraged to participate. If local, we do ask that clients attend the last 30 days of training as much as possible so we can put the client with their horse. At Journeys End Training Center, we take pride in our results and guarantee our work. Journeys End Training Center can also provide quality lay ups and rehabilitation care.
We provide boarding, training, and riding lessons for ages 3 and up. We are focused on quality, not the quantity. We cater to the needs of you and/or your horse to provide the best experience possible. From the trails to the show ring, our barn family is the best place to be!
I am one of the few in our area that offers training and teaching for trail pleasure and trail competition. I have an obstacle arena and on-site trails for training and learning that are safe for students. I spend extra time with the less confident rider helping them overcome their fears and walking them through the process.
We provide training, lessons, and clinics for all levels of riders, i.e., problem solving, general horsemanship, halter, showmanship at halter, Western pleasure, hunter under saddle, and hunt seat equitation.
