Hired on Thumbtack
We hired this company for packing and moving services. We had communicated and confirmed 3 people to pack items into boxes on the first day and 2 people to load a moving truck the second day.
On the first day only 2 people arrived around 10:00, and they also explained that they couldn’t work later than 4:00. One person it was their first day on the job. It was clear they had little experience in boxing household items. Myself, husband, and son worked around the clock to pack with them as well, in order to meet our moving deadlines.
After reaching out to the pro he agreed a 3rd person would be there for day 2 of packing and loading a moving truck. Again, 2 people showed up at 10:00 and were unable to load anything heavy. Myself, husband, and son packed and loaded items non-stop to meet our deadlines. I had to hire another moving pro on the second day to ensure we could get everything loaded, as this crew wasn’t even sure which order to load a moving truck. Two of the movers went and sat in their truck in the driveway for a very long time after we fed them lunch, while we were all still packing and loading.
I would not recommend using this pro.
