I began my search for a photographer on Thumbtack back in May after I decided I needed to revamp my website and update it with new self-portraits. After reviewing a handful of photographers here and other freelance sites, I came across Karenina's website. I must say I was impressed by her portfolio of work. Even though her work almost 100% focused on weddings, I couldn't deny the quality of her photos and wanted to see if I could get this same quality for the kind of photos I wanted to take. I officially went with Karenina and reached out. We originally planned on a May shoot but due to schedule and weather conflicts we finally did the shoot in June. I really appreciate that Karenina was very flexible as far as scheduling. And that even though her focus is weddings, she was open to hearing about my own photography needs and was willing to work with me. My experience with Karenina was nothing short of terrific! Karenina made sure we covered a variety of poses and backgrounds within our location. And as I imagined, the photos came out awesome! I was more than satisfied with how everything turned out! I was also pleased with the timing of which the images were processed and made available. I look back and I am pleased with my decision to work with this awesome professional. Let me just say this, Karenina knows what she is doing. Karenina took our engagement pictures and they came out so good.I cant get enough of them. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work with carefully curated packages and offer interest-free payment plans to all our clients. I also appreciate word of mouth! If you recommend a friend and they book with us you get a voucher as a thank you. Value of the vouchers varies depending on session type so make sure to contact us for questions.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to do pre-consultations in person, but are available on the phone if your schedule requires it. During the pre-consultation we discuss your goals and plans for your session or wedding, your style and what products would fit you best. We discuss pricing and budget during in-person consultation so there are no surprises at the moment of ordering.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Studied at New York Institute of Photography Have taken workshops in: Studio Lighting, Posing, Photoshop, Glamour portraiture, Boudoir Photography, Wedding Photography and more. I have received extensive training in Children's photography, and have over 5 years of experience photographing children of all ages.
