I am delighted to have found a music teacher as patient , friendly, understanding, and knowledgeable as Sally. I have been taking lessons with her for a few months and thus far I have gained invaluable insights from her. I am motivated to continue my journey in the future. I highly recommend Sally as a piano teacher.

I am not a musician; and after attempting to teach myself piano, decided it was time for something a little more formal. As this is the first time I've taken lessons, I didn't know what to expect. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. I'm not going to into this in great detail, but I don't learn like many people. Considering that coupled with my lack of training, we're calling on both sides of my brain at once - I have no roadmap as to how I'll respond.Music transcends. When it hits I'm powerless.Sally (man, I hope this is right. I'd stop and fact check, but I'm on a roll...) has not only picked up on my learning style, but she is also beginning to see things the way I do. Again, I'm a slow, clumsy, grump of a student but I'm continually surprised by how much effort she puts into to learning how I do, then using this knowledge to teach. There is a level of vulnerability in learning music, I've not faced before. You see, you can't fake it. You can either play or not - intimidating is putting it mildly.So. Am I good? Am I the new musician taking the world by storm? No. I'm less than three months in.Do I understand the piano, reading music, and have the tools to be great? Yes.Do I have confidence I'll be able to ground whatever talent lies beneath? Absolutely. We just need to figure out how to get my hands 100% in on the plan. This is an amazing experience. One I wholeheartedly recommend.

Sally has taught piano to my sons (now ages 18 and 16) for over 8 years. She is patient, creative, and inspires them to love music. No matter how busy they get with school and sports, they want to make time for their piano lessons! Its a highlight of their week.

I decided to learn how to play piano for the first time at age 24 and Sally has been an excellent first teacher. There are several things that I think she has done well, but I think the most important thing has been that she has helped to foster and inspire my enjoyment of playing piano. Sally obviously loves playing the piano herself and that has definitely passed onto me during our lessons. I started playing piano on a whim several months ago and I'm even more excited now about learning and practicing than I was when I started and I think that speaks a lot to how good Sally has been as a teacher.
The other aspect I've really appreciated is that Sally has been very responsive and aware of my goals and has challenged me in exactly the right ways. I feel like I've learned far more than I ever expected to in my first 5 months of playing. There were several times Sally gave me scores to learn that I thought were going to be too challenging for me, when in fact they really pushed me to improve quickly and increased my enjoyment of playing/practicing.
Finally, the little things. Sally has been very easy to communicate with and flexible with lessons. We have never had a miscommunication about lesson time/location and she has been very flexible when I haven't been able to do our standard times.
Overall, I've really enjoyed my five months learning how to play the piano from Sally and I would 100% recommend her to any other person looking to learn how to play piano for the first time or improve on their existing skills.

Sally has been wonderful with my 6 year old, learning piano for the first time. My daughter loves coming to see her each week. We are thankful for someone so wonderful, right in Moyock.
