FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Because I don't work in just one or two fields I can't really give any standard pricing unfortunately. I price by each job and unless it's a small quick job I have to "sleep on it" usually. Since I do about all the work on a job I can't charge standard rate on each thing because it would become too much of a ripoff. So I come up with a final combined price on everything and add a little for surprises as we're supposed to. Then almost always beat that price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet them and while looking over the job envision what they're after. Then work with them to make sure we make everything they want come to fruition the best it possibly can. While making sure nothing's passed over they might not have thought about. For new construction, additions, and remodeling I make sure I cover every option. Then I'll draw every one of them out and sit down with the client to pick out what they like best from each and we mesh that together and make plans to get the job rolling.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I had four years of Drafting courses in different CAD (computer assisted drawing) programs. I have a plumbing degree, and way over the requirements for my commercial and residential plumbing license but wound up backing out of the state test at the last minute due to interference with my Builder's License down the road. I had a few construction courses in college. I also audited and passed with A+'s college courses in Accounting 1, 2, and 3 as well as Business Management courses.
