Patti is very knowledgeable, and really helps explain the subject matter to my son. He is now getting assignments done and starting to grasp geometry. His (and my) stress level has decreased greatly knowing Patti is there to help. Patti is also incredibly easy to communicate with.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour. Usually a one hour session is enough to help the student understand the concepts,without overworking them. One or two sessions/week should be enough to get most students caught up.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have North Carolina teacher certification, but more importantly, I have been working with students as a teacher/tutor for over 35 years. I know how to use a graphing calculator to help the student understand the problems, and I can help them understand what they are doing. I also have recieved certification for online teaching.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was in 10th grade geometry when I decided that I wanted to be a math teacher. I really liked the visual applications, and writing proofs was like a puzzle to solve. I never changed my mind after that.
