Introduction: I am a Spanish teacher. I have a Spanish teaching license for K-12 in N.C. I have approximately 23 years of experience in teaching. As a teacher of the Spanish language, I believe that it is important to encourage students of all backgrounds to learn a second language. As globalization increases, it is a fundamental asset to have so that they may have increased opportunities in the work force, fluent communication during leisure travel, and meaningful connections with people to facilitate a more cohesive society. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with students and it brings me a great deal of gratification to know that I am able to contribute to their learning. As part of my teaching process, I have always taken the time out to get to know my students. I figure out what they like to do as well as the way that they learn best. With this knowledge of their learning style as well as each student's particular intelligence strength, I review the learning standards and integrate the activities that they like most with the core curriculum in a way that promotes fun and motivation to learn.
