COVID Updates: Since March of 2020 we have seen a large uptick in behavioral cases. It has become increasingly difficult to socialize a dog to the point that they are calm and neutral in public which has led to a huge rise in the popularity of our Board & Train Program. During the Board & Train a Haven trainer keeps the dog in their home and trains the dog as if it were their own. Daily updates are sent to update owners as we train, socialize, and proof the dog around all manner of dogs, people, and environments. Ben did a phenomenal job with us and our puppy. Making sure that all our issues were addressed and answering all of our questions. Our puppy loved him right away and was very focused on everything Ben told him to do. We saw a huge improvement after just one lesson with him. We will definitely be doing more classes in the future.

Ben did an amazing job with Bob! I definitely see the difference in him in just the 5 days he spent with him. It was hard being away from him, but Ben gave me daily updates and pictures of Bob every day without fail! I HIGHLY recommend him! I now feel comfortable taking Bob out to be a dog safely. Ben will be the trainer I look to advice for all my dogs from now on.

It was such a pleasure working with Ben. I can already tell a huge difference in my puppy! I really appreciated Ben keeping me updated throughout her boarding/training. We started with 2 wonderful dogs who happened to despise each other. Every time the 2 were within eyesight of each other, they were trying to fight. After months of trying to keep them separated at all times--the stress and agitation was only escalating. We were beginning to lose hope that we could maintain the situation safely for much longer. Or experience with Ben has been extremely positive and life-changing for the better! He is kind and patient with our dogs (and with us!). He is giving us structure and tools to improve their (and our) lives by reducing stress and creating/maintaining order. He takes the time to explain and teach us-- to ensure our continued success. I had a great experience working with Ben- always available to answer questions and really knows how to connect with my pup. We worked on separation anxiety and leash reactivity/manners in a 3-private lesson package. I finally was able to learn techniques to really get my dog to listen and trust me- and he is getting better every day! I highly recommend Haven DogTraining.

We offer a free consultation either in person or over the phone that is conducted by the owner Ben Berenfield. Ben will learn about your dog(s) and training goals in order to help find the right program for you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My favorite part about dog training is that the learning truly never stops. In my free time I enjoy traveling the country learning from world renowned trainers and behaviorists in order to further my skill set.
