Full disclosure: this is my first experience with a personal trainer. That being said, Vinnie is my ideal trainer, in that he is flexible, professional, and motivated to get me motivated. I don't think I've ever been this sore in my life, but I am already seeing and feeling results in body and mind.

I am a first-time Thumbtack (and Vinnie Papandrea) user, and I am happy to report the experience has been remarkable! I requested a personal trainer to work out with me at my home and help me get some version of my pre-baby body backbefore my 40th birthday, which was six months away. I was connected with Vinnie and began working out a few days later.
Vinnie is awesome. We do circuit training with free weights, squats, lunges, jumping jacks, sit ups and lots of other quick, strenuousbut funexercises. I never get bored because we're always changing activities, and my heart rate stays up for the whole hour.
The best part? The boxing. At the end we get in 20 minutes of straight cardio with boxing exercises. As an advertising executive and a mom of a really smart and busy three and a half-year-old, I really like burning off calories and extra steam boxing with Vinnie.
I don't really enjoy exercising for exercising's sake, but I am having a whole lot of fun getting in shape with Vinnie. He's great at conversation, he's great at kicking your butt when you need it, and he's really great at getting results. I am very happy that I look and feel better after just two months.

Vinnie was my personal coach for over eighteen months from March 2013 through November 2014. For over fourteen months of this time we worked together three times a week.
Establishing expectations â Outstanding.
Vinnie and I would always discuss my routine: The muscle groups being concentrated on, the order of the exercises, the reason for variations in the repetitions, and the importance of core muscle exercises. At Vinnieâs direction, I participated in designing my program. This was important to me because I am a 65 year-old male with a neuropathy which impairs the strength, balance and feeling in my extremities. Vinnie listened to me and modified my routine to accommodate my limitations.
Continual challenge and encouragement â Outstanding.
Some days were better than others. Vinnie recognized this and challenged me accordingly. Due to his encouragement and constant attention, I generally tried to do better and found myself helped by his positive feedback. I never felt discouraged by something that Vinnie said. Even so, I do remember the times when he recognized that I could have done better. This was usually accompanied with some code words between us that recognized that I could have done more and that I was expected to do so the next time. Vinnie is a very caring person and was particularly inquisitive about how I was feeling so as to avoid any possibility that I may aggravate or strain a muscle.
Punctuality â Outstanding.
During this period Vinnie never missed an appointment and was a couple minutes late (due to traffic) twice. Also, Vinnie didnât watch the clock. He was with me for however long my routine would take, which usually lasted more than the hour we had scheduled.
Summary -- Vinnie is an excellent trainer. He is a caring person and listens very closely. He is knowledgeable about strength exercise, aerobics, diet, and psychology. He is a winner. I wish he hadn't moved to North Carolina.

Vinnie is a great personal trainer who I would highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their health and level of fitness. He does a great job mixing up the workouts and allowing you to leave the session feeling that you got the most out of the hour.

I was trained by Vinnie for eight years and would still be training with him if he hadn't moved. He is tough but flexible and will push you without becoming overbearing. He puts together a workout based on your fitness objectives that includes weights, cardio, exercises, diet, and attitude. Thoroughly enjoyed training with him because I felt we accomplished the goals we had set forth. The challenging program definitely made me stronger with greater cardio capacity and helped me feel healthier and live a better lifestyle. I highly recommend Vinnie as a personal trainer because he doesn't do things his way, he will work WITH you to develop a program that helps you achieve your objectives by being a true coach and teacher.
