I recently had my Samick upright pianotuned, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, the experience was smooth and professional. The tuner, Vernon, arrived right on time, was friendly and courteous, and took great care to answer my questions.
Most importantly, the piano now sounds absolutely wonderful— perfectly in tune across every register. He also thoughtfully suggested (without any pressure) ways to further enhance the piano’s tone and richness, knowing that I often play classical pieces that benefit from greater dynamic range.

Vernon is fantastic! He's incredibly professional and always friendly. He's got a deep understanding of what he does, I can definitely tell he has plenty of experience. My piano, which is a second-hand one, desperately needed tuning. Vernon did an excellent job, and it sounds wonderful now. He's also proactive about reminding me when it's time for cleaning and tuning. Not to mention, he noticed the worn-out felt on the keys and replaced it too. I've been relying on his services for quite some time, and he's essentially become the go-to "doctor" for my piano. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $140 per month for a 30 minute lesson each week. I also charge a one time registration fee of $30
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find out their skill level and help them progress toward their musical goals. I am able to teach note reading as well as tablature(fretted string instruments) and playing by ear.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Have a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from UNC Greensboro. Have played piano for 40+ years and guitar for 35+ years and have taught privately since 1998.
