- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer 3 standard pricing packages, however, every couple is different, so I am also able to build a custom package if they are looking for something different. 1. Hourly Consulting - This is the a la carte method, so appointments are scheduled as needed and can be in person or over the phone. 2. Day of Wedding Coordination - This gives the bride total control of planning her wedding. I just step in for help on the actual wedding day. I serve as the liason between the bride and all of her vendors (caterer, photographer, musicians, etc). I take the stress out of the wedding day. Packages for this start at $500 depending on exactly what options are selected. 3. Excellence Package - This is the full service wedding planning package. This covers everything from venue selection, save the dates, invitations, RSVP management, caterer and photographer selection, transportation, musicians, etc. I am with the bride and groom every step of the way. This is the most comprehensive package. I offer additional a la carte options such as honeymoon planning and scheduling, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step in the process is to schedule a consultation meeting. During that meeting the bride and groom have the opportunity to share with my their vision for their special day. This includes must haves, and absolutely won't haves. We complete a two page questionnaire together so I can get a feel for what they are looking for and how I will be able to help make their vision a reality. If the couple decides to hire me, I will get a contract written up to be signed. I only schedule one wedding or event per weekend to ensure the couple has my full focus and attention.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been planning weddings and corporate events for the past 7 years. I have planned small, backyard affairs, to exotic destination weddings! I have managed budgets from $10,000 to $100,000 and everything in between. The majority of my training has been on the job. I have a masters in Human Resource Management and 8 years of HR experience, which has given me a specific set of skills in interacting with people, and vendors and companies. I also have a personal passion for planning weddings and events which comes through in my work!
